'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Spoilers: The First Order Visits Endor And A Familiar Ewok May Return
A popular Ewok character from the original "Star Wars" trilogy may return in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” according to a report. Another report talks about the leaks regarding the character Rey and hints at some of the plot elements in the movie. [Spoiler alert]
Warwick Davis is one of the confirmed cast members in the next J.J. Abrams-directed movie, but the role of the actor has still not been revealed by the producers. According to a report by Jason Ward of Making Star Wars, the actor may reprise his role as the Ewok named Wicket.
Ward has apparently heard from his sources about a concept art that shows the forces of the First Order -- the new name of the evil Empire -- visiting the planet of Endor to retrieve the burned and mangled mask of Darth Vader. The encounter with soldiers will supposedly result in a “not-so-happy ending” for the Ewoks living on the planet.
The attack on the villages of Ewoks is said to have taken place before the events in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” However, the movie may feature an angry Wicket wanting to take revenge on the First Order for what they did in Endor. Ward can’t confirm that the Ewok character will appear in the movie, but speculates that if the character appears he may be found around a rebel base.
A new character who may soon join the ranks of the rebels against the First Order is Rey, played by Daisy Ridley. According to a report by Metro, the leaks about the plot elements of the movie reveal that the character will be living in a fallen Imperial AT-AT ground assault vehicle on the desert planet called Jakku.
Jakku is said to have become the home of many crashed ships after the Galactic Civil War and this has supposedly attracted the interest of scrap merchants to salvage the parts of the fallen ships. Rey is said to meet with Finn, played by John Boyega, very early in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and the two characters are expected to go on a mission to find the owner of a lightsaber that may belong to Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill.
