A bonus clip of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” that is a part of the Digital release has surfaced online. The video explains how some of the ships that were seen in the final battle against the Sith fleet in the movie were taken from the previous movies and animation series from the franchise.

The JJ Abrams movie marked the end of the Skywalker saga. In order to bring all the previous films together, the producers decided to bring in some of the ships that were previously seen to form a massive fleet of regular folk from across the galaxy who took on Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and his forces.

A clip that is a part of the Digital edition of the movie that has surfaced on iO9 shows how some of the ships in the battle sequence have appeared on the screen before. There were the Naboo starfighters from “Episode 1,” there was Ghost from the “Rebels” TV series, the Star Tours ship, a Medical Frigate from “Empire Strikes Back,” U-Wing from “Rogue One,” a bomber from “The Last Jedi,” and a Mandalorian ship from the “Clone Wars” TV series. The special effects team confirmed that they wanted to throw in all the ships they could for the last battle.

Another clip from the bonus content of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” that has surfaced online takes the fans behind-the-scenes and shows the filming of an action sequence, CBR reported. The video shows Kylo Ren actor Adam Driver and stunt coordinator Eunice Huthart talking about how they filmed some of the action sequences.

A gag reel of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has also been released online, USA Today reported. The video shows the lighter moments on set while they were filming an important scene between General Pryde (Richard E. Grant) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson).
