'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' Longest Film In Sequel Trilogy?
The next trailer and runtime of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” are the two things fans are eagerly waiting for. According to new details that have surfaced online, the upcoming film may be the longest in the sequel trilogy.
Director JJ Abrams and his team are currently putting the final cut of the film together. However, since the release date is fast approaching, they have to give movie theaters an idea about how long it is going to be. Details about that run time have now surfaced online.
According to Star Wars Unity, the run time of the film is 155 minutes or 2 hours and 35 minutes. This is a rough estimation of the length and the actual number will be revealed closer to the release date.
The previous movie “The Last Jedi” was 2 hours and 32 minutes long and “The Force Awakens” was shorter with 2 hours and 18 minutes runtime. This makes the upcoming Abrams film the longest in the sequel trilogy.
As far as the last “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” trailer is concerned, it is expected to be released during “Monday Night Football.” Black Series Rebels had previously said that the video will be released on Oct. 21.
The tickets of the movie are also expected to go on sale on the same day as the last trailer is released. Since the movie theaters may already have the run time of the movie to make arrangements and plan the slots, the tickets sale may be imminent.
The reshoots of the movie wrapped recently. Cast members Daisy Ridley and John Boyega were reportedly involved in the final leg of the production.
“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is the final movie in the sequel trilogy, and it will connect all the previous movies. The film will be released on Dec. 20.
