As the “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” release date draws near, fan anticipation is reaching an extreme high. In a sit down with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” covered in full via The Hollywood Reporter, Daisy Ridley gave her insights on the state of “Star Wars” and the internet craze that comes along with it.

One of the biggest theories gaining traction among “Star Wars” fans is about Dark Rey, which was teased in a D23 “Episode IX” teaser trailer. Wielding a double-sided red lightsaber and a menacing glare, Dark Rey has become one of the most popular topics as fans theorize about “The Rise of Skywalker.”

On discussing Dark Rey, Ridley admitted: “I honestly feel like I know what a viral sensation is because I was one…My mom was texting me and she was like, ‘What is this I’m seeing on Twitter? Do you go dark?’”

As though she were speaking to every anticipatory fan, Ridley explained to her mother that she would have to see “The Rise of Skywalker” in order to find out the truth behind Dark Rey.

While she didn’t reveal too much about Dark Side Rey with Fallon, she has confirmed Dark Rey is real in previous interviews. Whether or not Rey turns to the Dark Side in “Episode IX” still remains shrouded in secrecy, though Ridley did give her opinions on other internet sensations and also summed up the entire Skywalker saga in a rap, which can be watched in full below.

As for whether or not she thinks Porgs or Baby Yoda are cuter, Ridley didn't hesitate to reveal her thoughts on the matter.

“Baby Yoda,” she said. “Look, I’m not a big fan of the Porgs. We worked for six months on ‘The Last Jedi’ and every interview, ‘What about the Porgs?’ I was on the set for six months, they were there for a day.”

Introduced in “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, a younger (and far cuter) version of Yoda’s race immediately went viral. Some fans even believe that Baby Yoda could appear in “The Rise of Skywalker,” though nothing has been confirmed.

“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” opens in theaters on Dec. 20.
