'Starfield' Animation System Details Leaked

“Starfield” will allegedly feature a brand new animation system.

Bethesda titles are among the most loved games in the industry, but they are also known for their unrealistic character animations. If the latest leak is to be believed, it looks like the gaming studio is considering to change this reputation with “Starfield.”

Twitter user JJ&MrOrange shared screen-captured images of the LinkedIn page of Eric Braun, who worked on “Starfield.” Under the experience section, Braun lists that he worked as a Senior Programmer at Bethesda, Maryland. He also claimed that he rewrote the animation system of Bethesda’s upcoming action RPG title from scratch.

In September, Bethesda’s Todd Howard shared that the gaming studio was overhauling the game engine of “ Starfield ” and “The Elder Scrolls 6.” A new animation system and a new game engine sound promising for the upcoming space-faring title from Bethesda. So far, the gaming studio has not yet revealed the release window of “Starfield” as well as its gaming platforms.

However, some industry watchers and fans believe that “Starfield” might release as an exclusive Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S title. These speculations stemmed from the recent acquisition of Microsoft of the gaming studio’s mother company ZeniMax. Xbox Boss Phil Spencer recently clarified in a recent interview with Kotaku that the deal was not so Microsoft could take games from another player base.

Many fans previously predicted that “Starfield” might release before 2020 ends. However, the highly likely release window would be by the end of 2021. Bethesda confirmed that no new information concerning its space-faring ARPG title would be revealed until 2021. Information about “Starfield” is pretty scarce aside from the recent series of photos that were allegedly screen-captured from the game.
