“Arrow” star Stephen Amell is making his return to the ring after WWE announced that he would make an appearance on the program Promo School on WWE Backstage. The announcement was made on WWE on Fox's Twitter page for the former SummerSlam competitor's Tuesday night arrival.

Amell will be participating in the segment “Promo School,” which will air during WWE Backstage, according to the official WWE website. The segment has featured celebrities cutting a promo on a WWE star with past segments featuring David Arquette, LaVar Arrington, and Gabriel Iglesias.

As a super fan of WWE, Amell has some experience in the ring during his time with the company. In 2015, the actor made some appearances in WWE’s weekly RAW program, where he was confronted by Stardust (Cody Rhodes) during his wrestling match. After the attack, the actor signed on to compete at SummerSlam and won in a tag team match where he teamed up with Neville (Benjamin Satterley) against Stardust and Wade Barrett.

Amell continued his passion for wrestling when he joined the Bullet Club alongside Rhodes at Ring of Honor in 2017. His most recent in-ring action was in 2018 where he competed in his first singles match against wrestler Christopher Daniels in the PPV show "All In," where he was ultimately defeated in his first loss.

The actor has also managed to create relationships within the wrestling community when he partnered up with wrestler Chris Jericho last week for his sparkling wine A Little Bit of the Bubbly under Amell’s Nocking Point winery.

Amell has just finished filming “Arrow,” which is currently in its eighth and final season. As far as other projects go, the Canadian actor will soon be bringing his love of wrestling and acting together in Starz’s upcoming original series “Heels,” which dives into the business of independent wrestling.

You can catch Amell on WWE Backstage on Tuesday on FS1 at 11 p.m. EST.
