Stephon Marbury: China Player Tells Him F--- You During CBA Finals? [VIDEO]
Was Stephon Marbury cursed out during the first game of the Chinese Basketball Association Finals in Beijing?
Marbury, who plays for the Beijing Ducks, took a hard foul after jacking up a three-point shot from forward Zhou Peng, who plays for the Guangdong Southern Tigers. Immediately after, Peng was confronted by a couple of Marbury's teammates before Peng's teammates quickly came to his rescue and prevented anything more from ensuing.
Then, as Marbury awaited to take his free throws, center Su Wei and Marbury confronted each other. It's unclear who instigated who first, but it seems clear that both mean exchanged curse words that added a little tension to the game. Marbury looks to have called Wei a p---- while Wei looks to have called Marbury a b---- on top of the f-bomb.
Marbury made two of his three free throws to extend Beijing's lead to 22 at that point. However, the referees had whistled a double technical, so Zhou Peng also shot free throws. He hit both of them, but to no avail, the Ducks held on to win the game 108-101 to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
Marbury, whose NBA career to a plunge towards the back end, came to the CBA in 2010 and joined the Beijing Ducks in 2011. It can be argued that he singlehandedly led the Ducks to their first ever CBA Finals appearance.
