Steve Harvey Reveals Michael B. Jordan's Christmas Gifts To Him, Wife Marjorie
KEY POINTS
- Steve Harvey received the hardest to get cigars from Michael B. Jordan as a gift
- The "Black Panther" star gave Lori's mom, Marjorie, some skis
- Harvey was uncomfortable when he saw an intimate photo of Lori sitting on Jordan's lap
Steve Harvey once again spoke fondly of his stepdaughter Lori Harvey's boyfriend, Michael B. Jordan, who spent the holidays with their family.
The "Little Big Shots" host appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Tuesday. During his guesting, the two talked about Lori and Jordan's relationship. The "Black Panther" star spent Christmas for the second time with the Harveys.
Ellen DeGeneres asked Harvey if the People's Sexiest Man Alive in 2020 was a "good gift-giver." Harvey gave a positive response and joked it was why he liked Jordan.
"Hell yeah," Harvey, 65, was quoted by People as saying. "That's why I like him. That boy come through. He [is] trying to impress the family."
Harvey went into detail and shared the grand gifts he and his wife, Marjorie, received from the young actor.
"I'm a father, so he bought me this big 100 [pack] cigar box of the most hard to get cigars. 100 of them in this big box and he gave that to me," Harvey shared. "He gave my wife some skis. Who do that? Only way you give your potential mother-in-law some skis is because you want her to be your mother-in-law."
The comedian added that he was "pulling" for Jordan because he's "a really good guy" and because he "comes from a good family."
In the same interview, DeGeneres showed Harvey an intimate photo of the couple where Lori sat on her boyfriend's lap. "Look at that," DeGeneres said. "That's happening in front of you?"
"I've never seen that picture before," Harvey replied. "I'm very uncomfortable with that picture right there. I'm not really feeling that picture."
In a previous interview with DeGeneres last year, the host told Harvey how Jordan texted her and her wife, Portia de Rossi, to surprise Lori on her birthday. He wanted a horse for them to go riding. DeGeneres complimented Jordan's gesture and Harvey said, "I have tried not to like him."
"I have tried to find something wrong with him," Harvey said before adding that he got rid of the others but not Jordan because "this guy is such a good guy."
In September, Harvey was also asked about Lori and Jordan's romance. The "Family Feud" host said he was supportive of the couple.
"I don't speak publicly about this type of stuff, but I'm happy for my daughter right now. I really am," he told People at the time. "It's the first time I've been happy for her [in a relationship]. And it's the first time she's been happy."
Jordan has been very generous when it comes to Lori and her family. Earlier this month, he threw a surprise birthday party for his girlfriend at Nobu in Malibu, California. Her friends were around, but the actor didn't make it because he was busy with a movie project.
"[Michael] loves you and can't be here tonight, but enjoy your night. It's on him," Lori's manager Tre Thomas said in an announcement, an unnamed guest told Page Six.
