Steve Jobs Memorial: TNT Will Honor Apple's Innovator by Re-Airing Film 'Pirates of Silicon Valley'
Remember the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley?
Well, if you don't, you might just remember it in the midst of the death of Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, who died Wednesday of pancreatic cancer.
Jobs' death has prompted TNT to re-broadcast its 1999 Emmy-nominated movie, which airs tonight at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET. The movie is based on the bestseller Fire in the Valley by Paul Frieberger and Michael Swaine.
Pirates of Silicon Valley chronicles the race and rivalry between Apple Computer and Microsoft from the technology giants' nights building prototypes in dorm rooms to building up their businesses in the boardroom. The flick stars ER and Falling Skies actor Noah Wyle as Jobs. Anthony Michael Hall and Joey Slotnick also star as Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, respectively.
The movie earned five Emmy nominations, including one for Outstanding Made for Television Movie.
