Last year, Steven Tyler made headlines for buying a 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder, known as the fastest car in the world. But the Aerosmith frontman is making headlines again now that he finally let his million dollar car see daylight.

Tyler and bandmate Joe Perry drove the audacious hot rod to a benefit on Sunday for the Stuart House in Los Angeles, Calif. and caused quite a fuss. According to SheKnows.com, “all anyone wanted to talk about was the car," as seen in videos of the duo driving in Los Angeles.

Tyler purchased the Venom GTs, one of just five in the world made by Hennessey Performance, for $1.1 million last year, according to Complex. Automobile Magazine reported what Steven Tyler paid for his 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Sypder is the equivalent of one dollar for every 60 Aerosmith albums sold in the U.S. since 1971.

His model, though, is one-of-a-kind since Tyler insisted Hennessey make the car into a convertible as a built-to-order roadster version with a removable top.

“Steven came to us and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster,” John Hennessey told Complex. “We had to make a few structural changes to our integrated roll cage in order to be able to fit the removable top.”

Labeled as the fastest car in the world, the 1,244-horsepower, 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 Venom GT can reach a speed of 200 mph in just 15.9 seconds. The speed is 2.4 seconds faster than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, according to Complex.
