World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has named two wrestling stars he would love to work with if he ever returned to WWE, which is very unlikely to happen in the near future.

Austin, who was popularly known as the ‘Rattle Snake’ during his days as a professional wrestler, last appeared in the ring at WrestleMania 19 – WWE’s flagship pay-per-view event. He is unlikely to come out of retirement after having been forced to quit due to multiple knee injuries and a severe neck injury.

The 53-year-old is currently on a Legends contract with the WWE and is one of only five wrestlers in history to have won the Triple Crown – the WWE championship, the Intercontinental title and the Tag team championship. Austin is unlikely to make a fighting return but has identified two ‘Monday Night Raw’ stars that he would like to work with.

The first on the list is current WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar, who was around during Austin’s hell-raising days in the ring. But the duo were never pitted against each other. Stone Cold has revealed that the two are good friends, having known each other for almost two decades.

Austin’s second choice comes as a surprise as the ‘Rattle Snake’ has named Elias, who has not done anything special since entering the fray from the NXT championship. The Hall of Famer is certain that the guitar-toting wrestler has the potential to become one of the main faces of the franchise.

"I’m good friends with Brock Lesnar and it’d be fun to work with Brock ’cause I was supposed to all those years ago,” Stone Cold said talking about a potential but unlikely return to WWE, as quoted on Give Me Sport.

“I also really think Elias is doing well. I’d like to work with that guy to elevate him. I think he’s on his way to being a top guy,” he added talking about Elias.

"I’ve known Brock forever and we’re good friends. But Elias has been making more and more progress. The character is coming around. The guitar work is great. Damn good hand in the ring. Great gimmick. He’s working baby (face) now and I think that’s great.”

Elias is currently embroiled in a battle with Bobby Lashley, who teamed up with acting Raw general manager Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre and destroyed the guitar-wielding star during a recent taping of Monday Night Raw.

However, the report also claims that Elias could be in line to take over the Intercontinental title from Seth Rollins, with Dean Ambrose expected to interfere during the match and ensure his former Shield teammate does not have the chance to retain his precious title.
