Stormy Daniel has reportedly been arrested during her performance in Columbus, Ohio, for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in "a non-sexual manner."
Her attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted that she was arrested while doing the same act which she had performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. He claimed that the arrested is politically motivated and said the two will fight all bogus charges.
“Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities,” he tweeted.
The adult star made news Sunday when she stripped at a club about a mile away from the White House during a show called “All Things Revealed” at the same time when President Donald Trump announced Brett Kavanaugh as his choice for the Supreme Court.
Reports said that dollars rained on her during the 15-minute performance when she was wearing nothing but black heels.
“I wanted to meet the lady who has a lawsuit against the president,” said Keith Swann, a customer.
She claimed to have an affair with Trump in 2006 when he was married to Melania, which he denied.
The arrest has set the social media abuzz, with most people defending her action.
“Stormy Daniels has been ambushed and arrested for allegedly allowing a man to touch her during one of her routine shows. Meanwhile, both the admitted Punani Grabber In Chief and the man who supposedly touched Stormy are free of all charges. Double Standards,” Theresa Searcaigh, an author, tweeted.
“That club doesn't normally have cops in it or 'stings.' Not considered a 'bad' club. This sounds like they were 100% after Stormy,” another person tweeted.
Commenting about the police action, one Twitter user wrote,“So we are supposed to believe that law enforcement routinely stakes out strip clubs to check for 'violations'?”
“I would think the police would have better things to do. Sure smells like politics to me,” Canuck Hil, another user, tweeted.
