‘The Strain’ Season 3 Spoilers: What Do Fans Think Of Eph And Dutch Becoming A Couple On The FX Series?

FX’s gritty, vampire apocalypse series, “The Strain,” introduced fans to the show’s newest couple – Dr. Ephraim “Eph” Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Dutch Velders (Ruta Gedmintas). After working together and figuring out how the Master communicates with his strigoi army for the last few weeks, the pair slept together in Season 3, episode 8.

Although many “The Strain” fans did see this coming since Season 3 was slowly building their chemistry and friendship, some were surprised to see this unlikely pairing come to fruition. Most fans still want Dutch to get back with her former lover, Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand). Fet and Dutch were not only a great couple, they were also brilliant pair of hunters. When the two slashed stingers and beheaded vampires, it was a wonderful sight.

Some fans are irked with Eph and Dutch hooking up. “Her and Dr. Goodweather don’t belong together! That scene made me feel icky,” one Facebook user wrote alongside a picture of Dutch on the show’s Facebook page.

“I swear no matter where I go Twitter, Facebook, and the Reddit forums people are saying that same thing. I guess we’re not the only ones feel that way,” another user wrote.

However, other “The Strain” fans think it’s natural for Dutch to have some sex while battling strigois. “I knew it would happen though, Dutch certainly gets around. Wouldn’t surprise me if she moves on to someone else after him,” another fan wrote.

Whatever the case may be, it seems a majority of fans are shipping Fet and Dutch. Let’s hope her hook up with Eph was a one-time thing. The apocalypse could certainly use a good romance.
