‘Stranger Things’ Actress Millie Bobby Brown Dishes On Being Best Friends With Former ‘Dance Moms’ Star Maddie Ziegler
Eleven might have a hard time making friends, but Millie Bobby Brown is already calling another celebrity her BFF. During a recent TV appearance, the “Stranger Things” actress revealed that she and former “Dance Moms” star Maddie Ziegler are best friends, although they only met five months ago.
Brown, who plays Eleven on the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things,” told host Ellen DeGeneres during an appearance on her show Monday that she and Ziegler became fast friends after the young professional dancer reached out to her on Twitter.
“She is my best friend, actually — we are very, very good friends. We’ve only known each other for about five months now, and the first time I met her — you know, I am such a big fan of ‘Dance Moms’ and her in general, she’s so inspiring to me,” she said (via People). “And so when I met her, obviously I started crying.”
The 12-year-old actress went on to explain that their first time hanging out was when Ziegler invited her over for a sleepover, but unfortunately the girls’ night in didn’t go exactly as planned and left Brown in tears.
“So I go over and at like 3:00 in the morning the fire alarm comes on and we all had to get rushed out of her apartment building,” she revealed. “And I’m crying, cause I’m like, ‘My first sleepover is ruined!’ And so we’ve been through a lot: fire alarms, the Grove … we’re really good friends and we text each other every day.”
Ever since becoming best buds, Brown and Ziegler have been documenting their bond on social media. Last month, Brown posted an adorable Instagram photo of her and the former Lifetime reality star FaceTiming. “Talking to my gurl and finding our light #bestiesforever,” she captioned the flick. Ziegler also shared an Instagram photo of her Brown at an amusement park. “miss u mills,” the dancer wrote in the caption.
During an October interview for Interview magazine, Ziegler questioned her BFF about their friendship revealing that they first met on the set of “So You Think You Can Dance” after Brown was invited backstage. “I was crazy when I knew you were actually going to be on the show,” Brown told Ziegler. “And the whole show I was looking at you like, ‘Please let her look me.’ And then they told me that I could go backstage and meet you, and I’m literally, like, taking deep breaths, like, ‘Oh my goodness,’ and then you were a normal human being.”
