  • Seth sports a new female body but still retains most of his fighting style in his previous game.
  • Seth could arrive in the same time as the "Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition" release in February 2020

Capcom has recently released the trailer for the next character coming to “Street Fighter 5” at the recent Capcom Cup 2019. The "Street Fighter 4" boss character Seth will be a playable character again in the game’s roster. However, his new form isn’t what fans remember him to be.

As seen in the trailer released during the Capcom Cup 2019 tournament, Seth is now sporting a female body as a playable character in “Street Fighter 5.” The character still retains the metallic skin color and seemingly generic design with a yin-yang symbol in place of where the stomach should be. Nevertheless, Seth seems to keep his villainous personality from the previous title.

Similar to his playstyle in his previous appearance, Seth’s moves in "Street Fighter 5" still borrows from other characters such as Ryu, Dhalsim, Zangief, and Guile. Due to his access with many moves, he’s considered to be a strong character with an assortment of tools, compared to the cast, to deal with opponents. Additionally, the “Street Fighter 5” version of Seth pulls his copied normal in the available roster of the current game and can even directly copy moves from his enemies in mid battle.

In the previous game, Seth was a muscular clone with male features and was designed to be a spare body for the long-time villain, M.Bison. However, the clone is now featured as a muscular woman with a male voice. The story behind this character’s transformation is yet to be confirmed.

Most characters added in the “Street Fighter 5” roster are mostly accompanied with short Story mode mission. The new content could explain Seth’s new form.

Seth’s release date wasn’t revealed in the trailer but it’s possible that fans could expect him to be available once the game releases. The next “Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition” will be released in February 14, 2020.

Aside from new characters, new changes will be added to the game’s system which could spice its gameplay up for both its long-time players and newbies starting in the game. For now, fans will have to wait for a few more months to see the whole new “Street Fighter 5.”
