The latest anime from the "Strike Witches" franchise is set to premiere as the girls prepare to battle otherworldly beings. "Strike Witches: Road To Berlin" Episode 1 brings back the 501^st Joint Fighter Wing for a new mission. The anime is also called "Dai-501 Tōgō Sentō Kōkū-dan Strike Witches: Road to Berlin" in Japanese.

The allied operation starts to acquire Berlin. The official synopsis for "Strike Witches: Road To Berlin" Episode 1, titled "Magical Girl in the Alps," reveals that the third installment of the franchise is set in 1945. The 501^st Joint Fighter Wing will reunite to battle aliens.

The anime, which is based on the original story by Humikane Shimada, debuted in 2008 and revolves around aliens named Neuroi invading earth. Neuroi aliens are known to consume land to derive energy. However, they are weak when it comes to traveling over massive bodies of water.

"In 1944, the world lives in fear of unidentified flying objects that even the military can’t thwart! Humanity turns its desperate eyes to the girls of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, better known as the Strike Witches. Kazuhiro Takamura is the director of the anime series and Tatsuhiko Urata handles the series composition. The script is written by Toshihiko Tsukiji and Takashi Aoshima. The music for "Strike Witches: Road To Berlin" is composed by Seikou Nagaoka.

The cast of "Strike Witches: Road to Berlin" anime includes Misato Fukuen as Yoshika Miyafuji, Saori Seto as Mio Sakamoto, Ayuru Ohashi as Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen, Kaori Nazuka as Lynette Bishop, Chiwa Saito as Francesca Lucchini, Mai Sonozaki as Gertrud Barkhorn, Rie Tanaka as Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke, Miyuki Sawashiro as Perrine-H.
