Stylish Momma Blake Lively Designs Diaper Bag, Names It After Baby Daughter James
“Gossip Girl” actress Blake Lively has designed a chic custom handbag for her lifestyle website, Preserve. She dedicated the stylish accessory after her little girl James.
The bag known as “James” diaper bag has a price tag of $860. The highlights of the handcrafted design include premium horween leather, premium plaid lining for the inside and brass zipper that has been imported from Switzerland.
The arm candy is 16 inches in length, 13 inches height and the depth is six inches. It is hand-distressed and handcrafted by Sandast. This bag is available in two colors, distressed blue and cognac.
Blake, 28, said that the reason she designed this diaper bag was to bring a touch of her own personal style to the design, Hollywood Reporter reported.
“I didn’t want a diaper bag that I would not carry if I wasn’t a mama. We loved the bag so much that we wanted to make them for more mamas,” she said, adding that the bag would last a lifetime.
The actress and style icon admitted that when making fashion choices she always takes her eight-month-old baby daughter into consideration. Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 38, welcomed James into their life in the month of January.
“The Age of Adaline” actress told in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that since the age of 16, she always thought about handing down her pieces from Forever 21 to her child. Lively also added that she is happy now that she has got a girl, as she has a lot of things of her own to pass down to her. Lively and Reynold have been happily married since the last three years.
However, this is not the first time Blake has turned to fashion designing. In May, she designed a gown for Preserve. She took to Instagram to showcase her talent.
“I may not be able to draw worth a lick, but I am proud of this dress I co-designed with Amour Vert for @preserve_us ,” Lively captioned the picture.
