'Succession' Season 3: What We Know So Far
Will there be a “Succession” Season 3? The show has already been renewed, and the fans are eagerly waiting to see the children fight for the control of their billionaire father’s business empire.
Back in August, HBO took to Twitter to announce the renewal of the popular show for a third season. The show is set to return sometime in 2020, which means the production should begin by the end of the year.
All the main cast members will be back. After the dramatic and shocking events in Season 2, the plot is expected to focus on Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin), Screen Rant reported. The first two seasons of the show focused on Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Shiv (Sarah Snook).
The plot of the show will be about the fallout of Kendall’s unexpected actions, even though he has so far been seen as someone who does everything his father wants. Is everything proceeding as per Logan’s (Brian Cox) plans?
“Succession” Season 3 is also important for HBO after the ending of the popular “Game of Thrones” TV series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the family drama about wealth and power may become the flagship show of the studio next year.
“We cannot wait to see how the complex characters that Jesse Armstrong has created continue to navigate this captivating, ruthless world of the uber-rich,” HBO drama programming executive vp Francesca Orsi said. The show is a nod to Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, and it gives the viewers a behind-the-scenes view of how a rich and influential family operates with politics and media.
With the presidential elections set to take place next year, it remains to be seen if elements of “Succession” Season 3 will focus more on the politics, political debates, and the media spin on events. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date for the show, which may be revealed when the production begins in a few weeks.
