‘Suits’ Season 6 Star Gabriel Macht Comments On Meghan Markle’s Relationship With Prince Harry

Gabriel Macht couldn’t be more thrilled about Meghan Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry.

During a recent interview with the New York Post, Macht admitted that he has often been asked about his “Suits” co-star’s romance with Prince Harry since news broke that the two are dating. But since it isn’t his business to talk about someone else’s romantic life, Macht — who plays Harvey Specter on the USA Network series — has always kept his comments limited.

“I found out when everyone else found out. It’s her personal business,” Macht said of when he learned about Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship. “[But] I’m really happy for her, really happy that she’s fallen in love.”

Several U.S. and U.K. media outlets reported in November last year that Markle and Prince Harry had been dating since August. On Nov. 8, 2016, Kensington Palace confirmed their relationship, but also attacked the media for subjecting Markle to “a wave of abuse and harassment.”

“Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments,” read a portion of the statement. “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.’ He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”

Markle, who portrays Rachel Zane on “Suits,” was previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson. They wed in Jamaica in 2011 and split in 2013.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, was in a previous relationship with Zimbabwean national Chelsy Davy and actress Cressida Bonas.
