‘Suits’ Season 6 Stars Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty Reveal Why They Don’t Want The Series To End

“Suits” cast members Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty don’t want the USA Network series to end, and their reasons are pretty practical.

“I could do this for a very long time,” Hoffman, who plays Louis Litt on the legal drama, told the Australian Associated Press (AAP) in Sydney. “Run it to the ground.”

“When you’re an actor you barely get the chance to work half the time. Sometimes people forget that they had to struggle and that was a lottery ticket that they won to get the job,” explained the actor.

Rafferty agrees, saying that she doesn’t forget the struggle she had experienced as an actress prior to landing the series regular role of Donna Paulsen on “Suits.” “Every day I remember the struggle,” Rafferty told the AAP. “I have said to our creator [Aaron Korsh] through tears that day when the show is done, I’m really going to miss Donna. I feel like she’s a really good friend of mine. I will mourn her. I would like to never be done with it.”

Although “Suits” Season 6 hasn’t finished airing yet, a Season 7 had already been ordered by the network. During a recent Q&A with fans on Twitter, Korsh revealed that they are already writing the upcoming installment.

In an interview with TVLine last March, Korsh said that he was “not sure” if the show was nearing its endgame. “I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I’m assuming we’re likely to have a Season 7, and it’s certainly possible we’ll have a Season 8,” Korsh told the news outlet of the show’s potential swan song at the time. “I would say we’re not in the upswing of the show's life cycle. There have been shows that have lasted a long time and much longer than us, twice as long at least. I don’t know how close we are to the end, but I know we’re very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning.”
