‘A Summer To Remember’ Hallmark Trailer Premiere: Catherine Bell, Cameron Mathison Star

Summer is officially here, which means Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights event is right around the corner. The fun kicks off at the end of the month with “Love on Safari” and continues the week after with “A Summer to Remember.” The latter features longtime Hallmark actor Cameron Mathison and “Good Witch” star Catherine Bell.

The flick doesn’t air until Aug. 4, but International Business Times has the exclusive premiere of the “A Summer to Remember” trailer for fans right now. Check out the promo video above to get a good look at what’s to come in the new film.

Mathison had “A Christmas to Remember” with Mira Sorvino in 2016 for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but now he’s ready to have “A Summer to Remember” with Bell for Hallmark Channel. For almost a month, the stars filmed on location in Fiji. IBT spoke with Bell just before she left for the island in April to hear all about the movie.

“It’s a really cute, summer romantic movie,” she said. “My character is a doctor, a very successful woman, widowed, with a 13-year-old daughter. She takes her daughter to a place that she’d gone with her husband, who’s now passed away. And, of course, there’s adventure and romance, maybe a little love triangle. And a gorgeous backdrop.”

The synopsis reveals that her character’s name is Jessica Tucker, and she’s in the running for the top job at the hospital. While it would be a great opportunity, it would mean even more time away from he daughter Ava (Samantha MacGillivray). Plus, she’s been planning on opening a private practice that would help give her more of a work-life balance.

Before she makes any decisions, Jessica and her daughter head to a resort in Fiji so that they can have some mother-daughter bonding time. “Complicating matters is fellow resort guest Trevor (Paul O’Brien, ‘Neighbours’), a dashing surgeon who takes an immediate interest in Jessica,” the synopsis reveals. “During her stay, she also strikes up a friendship with Will (Mathison), the charming owner of the resort.”

As Jessica and Will get to know each other better, she starts to relax and wonder if this island has everything she needs for the life she wants.

“A Summer to Remember” premieres on Hallmark Channel on Aug. 4 at 9 p.m. EDT.
