‘A Summer Romance’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Air Date

Summer Nights continues on Hallmark Channel with Saturday’s premiere of Erin Krakow and Ryan Paevey’s “A Summer Romance.”

Hallmarkies will get to see the “When Calls the Heart” actress and “General Hospital” alum spend some time (and fall in love) on a ranch in the seasonal flick, which was directed by David Winning and written by Robert Tate Miller.

Aside from playing Elizabeth on “WCTH,” Krakow most recently starred in Hallmark’s 2018 movie, “Marrying Father Christmas,” which was the third installment in the franchise.

As for Paevey, he was just in “From Friend to Fiancé,” with upcoming “When Hope Calls” star Jocelyn Hudon, on Hallmark Channel earlier this year.

The Summer Nights premiere of “A Summer Romance” marks the first time Krakow and Paevey have worked together. Here’s what viewers can expect.

“Samantha ‘Sam’ Walker (Krakow), is the owner of her family’s picturesque ranch in Bighorn, Montana and facing the difficult decision of selling her land to wealthy developers or risk losing it in foreclosure,” the synopsis reveals. “When high-powered New York real estate developer Richard Belmont (Paevey) flies his private jet to Bighorn and arrives at the ranch to convince her to sell, he gets far more than expected after the airport shuts down for repairs and he’s forced to live at the ranch with Sam, her foreman Buck (Kevin O’Grady, ‘Homegrown Christmas’) and his family.”

The synopsis continues: “Everyone’s got to earn their keep on the ranch, so ‘city slicker’ Richard soon finds himself feeding horses, milking cows and doing general chores around the house, but he’s also taken with the incredible scenery and slower pace of life. Impressed by both his rugged good looks and willingness to embrace the country lifestyle, Sam takes a liking to Richard and hopes he’ll see just how important the ranch is to her.”

The cast also includes Sarah Strange (Catherine), Kevin O’Grady (Buck), Ava Grace Cooper (Annie), Geoff Gustafson (Todd), Lucie Guest (Ashley), Liza Huget (Maryann), Jesse Arthur Carroll (Lonnie), Milo Shandel (Perkins), Stellina Rusich (Trish), Trevor Lerner (The Driver) and Billy Wickman (Larry).
