Super Bowl 2014: Updated Betting Odds And Prop Bets For The Broncos-Seahawks Game
Super Bowl XLVIII is less than a week away, and the betting odds have remained the same from when the NFC and AFC Championship Games ended. The Denver Broncos are still expected to defeat the Seattle Seahawks.
Denver is giving Seattle 2.5 points at Las Vegas casinos. The Broncos continue their streak this season of never being the underdog. It’s just the second time that the Seahawks have not been favored. They lost to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 as underdogs, but managed to cover the point spread.
The over/under in the contest between the best defensive team and the best offensive unit in the NFL has settled at 47. In the regular season, only one of Denver’s games finished with a total of less than 47, but both of their playoff games have been under that number. Seattle’s last seven games, including the postseason, have gone under 47.
Even though the over/under is much lower than what the Broncos are used to, Peyton Manning is still expected to have a big game, according to the prop bets at Bovada.lv. The website puts his odds of throwing for more than 290.5 yards at -105. His chances of completing more than two touchdown passes have been set at +110.
Russell Wilson has even odds to throw under 20.5 passes yards and more than 1.5 touchdowns. He’s expected to get a lot of assistance from Marshawn Lynch. The running back has -135 odds of rushing for more than 90 yards.
