Super Bowl 2016 Odds: Betting Line, Over/Under, Popular Prop Bets For Broncos vs. Panthers

With Super Bowl 50 less than a week away, it looks the game will feature its largest point spread in years. The betting line varies at different Las Vegas casinos and online sportsbooks, but the Carolina Panthers are favored by either 5.5 or six points over the Denver Broncos in the biggest NFL game of 2016.

A team hasn’t been favored by more than five points in the Super Bowl since 2009. Carolina was only a 3.5-point favorite the morning after they won the NFC Championship, but the betting public has backed the Panthers for the last week.

Carolina has been the more impressive team this season, winning three more games than Denver. The Panthers have outscored their two playoff opponents by 41 points, while the Broncos have been just nine points better than their postseason opponents.

The consensus moneyline in Las Vegas has Carolina getting -240 betting odds, making Denver a +200 underdog. The over/under is 45.5 points.

Because the public is so firmly behind the Panthers, one of the most popular bets in the last week has been the alternate point spread.
