Super Bowl 2019 Party Ideas: Last-Minute Tips And Snack, Drink Recipes
Super Bowl Sunday 2019 is here, and if you’re planning on having people over to watch the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams in the big game, you’re going to need to make sure you have a few things in order.
Whether you’ve been too busy over the last few days to get things done or just decided to throw a party, follow these tips and recipes to have the best one possible.
1. Get a head count.
Sure, some people might back out at the last minute or they might bring guests they forgot to warn you about, but having a rough estimate of how many people you’ll have for your Super Bowl LIII party will make things go a lot smoother. Use this number to make sure you have enough seating and enough beers and boxes of pizza.
2. Stock up on ice.
Super Bowl parties are only slightly about the football game that’s playing on the TV. They’re also about the people you’re with, the food you’re eating and the many drinks you’re drinking. The last thing you’re going to want to have to deal with in the middle of your event is having to run out to the store because you’ve run out of ice.
3. Throw some party games into the mix.
There’s undoubtedly already going to be a lot going on, but if people aren’t enjoying the game that much or if some guests don’t really know the other people in attendance, the best way to make sure everyone’s having fun is by playing some Super Bowl party games.
4. Put together the perfect food menu.
This isn’t the time for a fancy dinner. This is the time for delicious snacks, tasty drinks and classic game-night foods. Ordering pizza and wings is always an easy and much-loved way to go. You’ll also want to go heavy on the snacks since guests will be picking at them all night. Cheese and crackers, vegetable platters with dressing and this buffalo chicken dip recipe are all great options. Making some of these Super Bowl cocktail recipes would also be a nice touch.
5. Decorate your space.
Nothing helps people get in the Super Bowl spirit more than some football-themed decorations. Here are some ideas to make your event a bit more festive: Balloons, football wine glass charms, helmet drink coasters, themed koozies, banners, mini cushioned footballs for the food table and posters of the different teams and players.
Once everything’s all set, enjoy your Super Bowl 2019 party and have fun watching the game, which starts at 6:30 p.m. EST on CBS on Sunday.
