Super Bowl 2020 Odds: Prop Bet Predictions For San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs
There are thousands of available prop bets for Super Bowl LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Player props are among the most popular, giving bettors a chance to predict individual stats for Sunday’s contest.
Here are five prop bet picks for the 2020 Super Bowl. Odds come from FanDuel SportsBook.
Patrick Mahomes under 300.5 passing yards (-108)
Kansas City’s quarterback can have a great game and still fall short of 300 yards. Even in his terrific performance against the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game, Mahomes only had 294 passing yards to go along with his 120.4 passer rating and three touchdowns. Mahomes hasn’t reached 300 yards in six of the last eight games. San Francisco has the No.1 pass defense, allowing 169.2 yards per game through the air.
Raheem Mostert under 77.5 rushing yards (-124)
Mostert’s 220-yard performance in the NFC Championship Game was an aberration. He didn’t rush for more than 69 yards in any of the previous five contests. Mostert reached 70 rushing yards just twice in the last four months. It looks like Tevin Coleman will play, and Matt Breida is also sure to get some carries. Mostert has had 15 carries or more in two of 18 games.
Anytime touchdown: Chiefs defense/special teams (+450)
Weird things tend to happen in Super Bowls. The 2016 and 2017 Super Bowls both featured a defensive touchdown. The 2014 Super Bowl included a pick-six and a kickoff return for a score. Jimmy Garoppolo’s tendency to throw interceptions—he has 14 in 18 games—make Tyrann Mathieu and Bashaud Breeland candidates to turn a mistake into points. There were two special teams’ turnovers in Kansas City’s divisional-round game.
Most receiving yards: Emmanuel Sanders (+1300)
Travis Kelce (+290), Tyreek Hill (+290) and Greg Kittle (+330) don’t have very favorable odds to bet. Deebo Samuel (+750) only has one 100-yard game over his last eight contests. Sammy Watkins (+950) just had his first 100-yard game since Week 1. Sanders led the 49ers in their Week 14 shootout with 157 yards against the Saints. He’s a big-play threat, catching a 46-yard pass to set up San Francisco’s Week 16 victory. Garoppolo will be forced to attempt more passes than usual if Mahomes has success and Kansas City takes a lead.
Kyle Juszczyk over 11.5 rushing+receiving yards (-112)
The fullback is a weapon in San Francisco’s backfield that Kyle Shanahan could utilize with Kansas City focused on stopping Kittle and the 49ers’ three running backs. Juszczyk had at least 23 receiving yards in four of the last five regular-season games, averaging 32.6 yards per contest.
