Super Bowl 2020: What Is The Point Spread For The San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs?
Super Bowl LIV between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs is almost here. The matchup was set nearly two weeks ago, but the betting line has largely stayed the same.
Kansas City remains the slightest of favorites to win Sunday’s game in Miami. The point spread is either one point or 1.5 points, depending on the sportsbook.
The betting odds vary both online and at Las Vegas casinos. Both FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook have the Chiefs favored by 1.5 points.
The Chiefs were favored by more than a touchdown in each of their first two 2020 NFL playoff games, covering the spread against the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. Kansas City has been favored in five straight contests. They were last an underdog in Week 14 when they upset the New England Patriots on the road 23-16.
San Francisco covered the spread as a heavy favorite against the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional playoffs and in the NFC Championship Game with the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers also won a Week 14 road game the last time they played as an underdog. San Francisco beat the New Orleans Saints 48-46 on Dec. 8.
The Patriots covered the spread against the Los Angeles Rams as 2.5-point favorites in last year’s Super Bowl. The favorite is 2-1 straight up and against the spread in each of the last three seasons. The underdog won the previous five Super Bowls.
Favorites have won 34 of the 53 Super Bowls. They are 28-23-2 against the spread, according to OddsShark.
The favorite is 2-1 when the Super Bowl betting line is one point.
