Super Bowl 2022 Betting Odds: Point Spread, Over/Under, Moneyline For Bengals vs. Rams
The Super Bowl 2022 betting odds include the game’s largest point spread in a few years. The Los Angeles Rams are favored over the Cincinnati Bengals in a matchup that few saw coming at the start of the season, or even the start of the playoffs.
The Super Bowl 2022 betting line is four points at DraftKings Sportsbook with two weeks remaining until the NFL’s championship game. Los Angeles is a -195 moneyline favorite to win the game outright. Cincinnati has +165 odds to pull off the upset.
The over/under for the Super Bowl is 49.5. It’s the smallest betting total in four years.
It’s been four years since the Super Bowl line opened at more than a field goal. The New England Patriots were four-point favorites over the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl in 2018. Backup quarterback Nick Foles led Philadelphia to an upset win over Tom Brady and won the Super Bowl MVP award.
The Rams were 2.5-point underdogs in their 13-3 loss against the Patriots in the Super Bowl in 2019. Last year, Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as three-point underdogs in the Super Bowl.
Cincinnati is in a familiar position. After upsetting the Tennessee Titans as 3.5-point underdogs in the divisional round, the Bengals entered the AFC Championship Game as seven-point underdogs. The Bengals came back from a 21-3 deficit and beat the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime for the franchise’s first Super Bowl appearance since 1989.
In the preseason, the Bengals were no better than 100/1 in Super Bowl odds at various sportsbooks. Cincinnati had a combined 6-25-1 record in the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
In 11 of their 20 games this season, the Bengals have been the underdog. The Rams have been favored in all but three of their matchups.
The Bengals will be on the road again, since the Super Bowl is being played at Sofi Stadium in L.A., where the Rams play their home games. Los Angeles beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 as 3.5-point favorites in the NFC Championship Game.
None of Cincinnati’s three playoff games have featured 49 points in regulation. Only one of Los Angeles’ postseason games went over the Super Bowl total of 49.5 points.
Los Angeles and Cincinnati are averaging a combined 52 points per game this postseason. The two teams have given up an average of 38 points per game.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has reached the Super Bowl in his first year away from the Detroit Lions. Receivers Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham Jr. and Ja’Marr Chase are three of the NFL’s best playmakers.
Three straight Super Bowls have been decided by double digits.
