Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show: Will Jay-Z Join Coldplay And Beyoncé On Stage?
Excitement for the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show has grown after it was revealed on Thursday that Beyoncé would be joining Coldplay during the big game. Other stars are also expected to make appearances to celebrate the anniversary of the NFL's championship game. Could Beyoncé's husband Jay-Z make an appearance in February?
According to Entertainment Tonight, Bruno Mars will join Beyoncé and Coldplay for the show. Mars was the musical act at the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show in 2014. One more act will show up to join the musical acts, which could be the "Empire State of Mind" rapper.
Jay-Z was rumored to join Beyoncé on stage during her Halftime Show performance at Super Bowl XLVII in 2013. However, Us Weekly reported in 2013 that the 46-year-old rapper decided to not join his wife on stage because he didn't want to be a distraction during her show.
"He wanted that to be her moment and didn't want to take away from it," the source told Us Weekly. "She had been working her a-- off."
Now that the 34-year-old singer won't be the main act of the show, it's possible Jay-Z would have no problem joining her on stage. There's also the fact that Jay-Z has collaborated with Coldplay before as well.
In 2008, Jay-Z appeared on Coldplay's song "Lost+," which appeared on the band's "Lost!"'s digital EP release and their EP "Prospekt's March." At the 2009 Grammy's, Jay-Z even joined Coldplay on stage to play the song live.

When it comes to sharing the stage with other acts, Coldplay sounds pretty excited about it. Lead singer Chris Martin told Entertainment Tonight the performance will rank very high on their list of accomplishments.
"Are you kidding me? It's the greatest moment of our band's life. We're going to give it everything we have," Martin dished.
Super Bowl 50 will air live on CBS on Sunday, Feb. 7. Do you think Jay-Z will be one of the special guests? Sound-off in the comments section below.
