Super Bowl Odds: Browns Among AFC Favorites, Ahead Of Steelers, Ravens After Odell Beckham Trade

In a little more than a year, the Cleveland Browns have gone from the worst team in football to being considered among the AFC favorites. After acquiring Odell Beckham Jr. in a trade with the New York Giants, Cleveland has better Super Bowl odds than all but two teams in the conference.

The Browns have 7/1 betting odds to reach Super Bowl LIV in 2020 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, putting them behind only the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. Their Super Bowl odds went from 25/1 to 14/1 shortly after Tuesday’s trade.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield now has one of the best groups of playmakers in the NFL. Cleveland lost safety Jabrill Peppers in the trade. The Browns traded guard Kevin Zeitler to the Giants in exchange for pass rusher Olivier Vernon last week.

The Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints are the favorites in the NFC and have better Super Bowl odds than the Browns. The Giants are considered to be among the worst teams in the conference with 40/1 odds to win the NFC and 80/1 Super Bowl odds.

Cleveland is the favorite in the AFC North for the 2019 NFL season, putting them ahead of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Pittsburgh has 25/1 Super Bowl odds after missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 2013. The Steelers traded Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for a third-round and fifth-round draft pick. Le’Veon Bell held out for the entirety of last season and has agreed to sign with the New York Jets.

Baltimore won the AFC North in 2018, but they’ve lost a bunch of key players this offseason. Defensive starters Terrell Suggs, C.J. Mosley and Eric Weddle are all gone, along with Za’Darius Smith and his 8.5 sacks.

The Ravens were linked to Bell, but Baltimore never came close to signing the running back.
