Super Bowl rating down from last year's record high
Sunday Super Bowl's rating based on preliminary numbers of Nielsen Media Research showed that it dropped 6 percent from last year.
The game which Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals on NBC recorded a 42.1 rating and 65 share in Nielsen's overnight measurement of the nation's top cities. With the same measurement last year recorded a 44.7 rating and 66 share.
This year's rating matched the 2007 preliminary rating.
The estimated number of viewers will likely be about 90 million.
