Those interested in downloading Nintendo’s Super Mario Run on their Android devices are now able to pre-register for the game on Google’s Play Store.

Super Mario Run was released earlier this month on iOS, and although users complained about it being too expensive, the game still got millions of downloads.

The app, which is free initially but costs $9.99 to unlock other levels, got more than 40 million downloads worldwide in only four days on iOS. Super Mario Run is the No. 1 top free game in the App Store, Nintendo announced Dec. 21.

Now, Android owners can join the hype and pre-register to get notified when the game will launch. There isn’t a specific date yet, but the sign-up option suggests the game is coming sooner than later.

The Google Play Store listing detailed the Nintendo game saying:

“Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it's up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.”

The Play Store also listed the game features three modes: World Tour, Toad Rally and Kingdom Builder.

Super Mario Run had a tough time when it was released on iOS, as people complained about the high price to unlock extra levels. Nintendo shares dropped as the long-awaited mobile game launched on iOS.

Other problems for players is Super Mario Run’s required internet connectivity, which means no playing in the subway, and data, 370MB in storage is needed to download the game.
