Now that “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” has welcomed the hero from “Dragon Quest XI,” fans are likely to wait for news regarding characters that might join the Nintendo brawler at a later time. Thankfully, a leak from last year might offer clues.

Back in December of 2018, a poster over on 4Chan predicted that a hero from “Dragon Quest” will join “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” ComicBook reported. This hero, the poster said, will wear different costumes based on the game series’ various installments.

The poster was right: the “DQ” hero will have alternate skins coming from various “DQ” heroes. The Verge described the hero as having “multiple forms spanning heroes from the series’ long history.” Of course, anyone could’ve made that kind of wild guess, but the accuracy seems like it was an “awfully lucky guess.”

Moreover, the 4Chan poster also predicted at the same time that “Banjo-Kazooie” will join the roster of brawlers in “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.” The poster is also right -- “Banjo-Kazooie” has been announced and will soon join the roster of playable characters.

Who’s next?

The accuracy of the first two predictions seem to imply that the poster wasn’t making “lucky guesses,” that other the poster’s remaining two predictions could be proven true in the future. Now, who will join the roster at a later time, according to the 4Chan user?

The 4Chan poster said “My most wanted DLC is still my Sylux and Ado dream team,” but went on to predict that “Doomguy” from the shooting game “DOOM” and a character from “Monster Hunter” will be joining the fray.

Doomguy, according to the 4Chan user, will come in his “2016 design” but will feature “exposed biceps and arm blade” from “DOOM Eternal.” The “Monster Hunter” character, on the other hand, can either be male or female, and wearing the corresponding armor. These predictions are as detailed as the one made regarding hero from “DQ.” This, of course, will make fans wonder.

To date, Nintendo hasn’t released or announced anything except the “DQ” hero and “Banjo-Kazooie.” Thus, it’s best to take these predictions with a grain of salt.
