Super Tuesday Tennessee Primary Results 2012: Where to Watch Live
Tennessee is one of the 10 states to hold its GOP presidential primary contest on Super Tuesday.
Rick Santorum, a former senator from Pennsylvania, is currently favored to win Tennessee, though Mitt Romney is close on his tails, according to the latest polls. As a former governor of Massachusetts, a Romney victory in a southern state would prove his campaign can attract the support of Republican voters in a region that is a critical part of the party's base.
Tennessee, along with his home state of Georgia, factors into former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's Southern-based strategy to keep his campaign afloat. In polls, Gingrich has closed in on Santorum and Romney, making Tennessee a three-way contest.
The state, which makes its primary available to all voters, has the third most delegates up for grab Tuesday with 58, awarded proportionally by congressional district and statewide vote tally.
