Superbon Off ONE On Prime Video 2 Card According To ONE Championship CEO

ONE featherweight kickboxing champion Superbon Singha Mawynn is officially off the card for September 30's ONE on Prime Video 2 card according to Chatri Sityodtong.

The ONE Championship CEO and chairman broke the news during the post-fight presser of ONE 161.

"I don't know if I'm supposed to say it, but I'll say it anyways. He's (Superbon) pulled out. He messaged me this afternoon [and said that] he's sick as a dog. He just can't [fight], but he wants to fight next month in [Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia]," Chatri announced to the media.

In Superbon's stead, Tayfun Ozcan will now be facing Marat Grigorian this Saturday, October1, and the winner will have the opportunity to fight either the Thai or Chingiz Allazov if the latter is back from injury as mentioned by Chatri.

"Superbon really wants to fight next month, no matter what," he later added.

Originally, Superbon was slated to fight Allazov, the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix winner, but the latter was forced to pull out due to an undisclosed injury.

However, losing the titleholder himself for the event is about as devastating as it can get for their second Prime Video event as the Singapore-based combat sports organization had him in the co-main event spot.

With Grigorian being moved up to the main card, it is currently unknown who his original opponent Jamal Yusupov will face on the lead card.

Because of the changes, this is how the card for ONE on Prime Video 2 currently looks:

Combat sports fans still have a lot to look forward to on the card as the fights between Stamp and Radzuan, Nguyen and Fermanov, Nastyukhin and Amir plus the highly anticipated trilogy fight between Xiong and Lee are expected to deliver on their potential.

ONE on Prime Video 2 is set to air on Friday, September 30 at 8:00 PM ET on Amazon Prime Video in North America.
