‘Supergirl’: Maggie Tries To Protect National City From Daxamites In New Set Photos, Videos

Floriana Lima was spotted filming an action sequence for an upcoming episode of “Supergirl” around Vancouver’s International Village in Chinatown on Friday, April 7.

In a number of photos obtained by YVRShoots, Lima fiercely exits a building as she aims her shotgun to enemies. While pictures featuring Lima don’t show who is she aiming at, several set photos and videos shared on Twitter reveal that she’s actually trying to stop an army of Daxamite from further wreaking havoc in National City. The attack of Daxamites on National City seems to be a consequence of Supergirl and (Melissa Benoist) and the D.E.O.’s decision to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) from his parents who wanted to take him back to Daxam.

In Season 2, episode 17, Mon-El agreed to return to Daxam after his mother, Rhea (Teri Hatcher), almost killed Kara with her pair of sai. But because Kara knew that Mon-El only agreed to go back to Daxam to keep her safe, Kara enlisted the help of J’onn (David Harewood) and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) to save her boyfriend. After a heart-pounding showdown between Team Supergirl and the Daxamites on their ship, Lar Gand (Kevin Sorbo) ultimately let his son go with his new family on Earth despite Rhea’s disapproval.

Although Mon-El has already made his decision, Rhea still wants to get him back so badly that she didn’t think twice killing her own husband.

“Supergirl” returns from its month-long hiatus with Season 2, episode 18, which sees the introduction of Lena Luthor’s (Katie McGrath) former boyfriend Jack Spheer (Rahul Kohli) who comes to National City to unveil his new breakthrough in nanotechnology. The episode airs on Monday, April 24 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
