‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Spoilers: Livewire Vows To Kill Kara In Episode 9 Extended Trailer
Livewire (Brit Morgan) escapes from prison in Season 2, episode 9 of “Supergirl.”
The extended trailer for the episode, titled “Supergirl Lives,” shows a glimpse of Livewire’s life behind bars, and it seems that there’s not a day that goes by that she doesn’t think of how she can exact revenge on Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).
“Supergirl ruined my life,” Livewire says in the clip during a conversation with what appears to be a prison counselor. “When I fry Supergirl from the inside out, you think she’ll scream as she cooks?”
It’s unclear how Livewire manages to get out of jail, but at the end of the preview clip, she has Supergirl tied down with an electric whip. “I’m gonna murder you,” the villainess tells the Girl of Steel.
Livewire, a.k.a. Leslie Willis, made her first appearance in Season 1, episode 4 of the CBS-turned-CW series. She was once National City’s most prominent shock jock, working in the basement of CatCo Worldwide Media. Cat (Calista Flockhart), however, canceled Leslie’s show and reassigned her to the traffic chopper after she declined to stop ranting against Supergirl.
Leslie became the electric-powered baddie Livewire when a lightning struck the chopper she’s in during her first night as a traffic reporter. Livewire tried to use her newly acquired powers to kill Cat, but Supergirl defeated her in a fight, and she was later taken into custody by the DEO.
Livewire reappeared in Season 1, episode 18, where she teamed up with Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) to fight Supergirl and The Flash (Grant Gustin). At the end of the episode, Livewire was taken back into custody and housed in a special cell the Scarlet Speedster helped design to contain metahumans.
Livewire isn’t the only villain returning in Season 2, episode 9. According to the synopsis for the winter premiere, Roulette (Dichen Lachman) also appears as a leader of a trafficking ring. A member of the alien race Dominators — which first appeared in the four-way crossover event between “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” last fall — also appears in the extended trailer for the episode.
“Supergirl” Season 2, episode 9 airs on Monday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Watch the extended trailer for the episode below:
