‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Star Mehcad Brooks Recalls The First Time He Stepped Out In His Guardian Suit [PHOTO]

“Supergirl” actor Mehcad Brooks revealed the first time he knew that Guardian was a badass.

Earlier today, Brooks shared a throwback photo of him wearing James Olsen’s vigilante suit. In the caption, the actor wrote that the picture was taken on the first day he put the Guardian suit on and went out for a trial run. Apparently, it was during this trial run when he first knew that James’ alter ego was a badass. Read the caption below to know more about the snapshot’s backstory.

James’ Guardian made his debut appearance in Season 2, episode 6. But it was only in last week’s episode when Kara (Melissa Benoist) finally found out that James is the masked vigilante. Although the Guardian helped Supergirl and Mon-El (Chris Wood) save Livewire (Brit Morgan) from her mad scientist abductor at the end of the installment, the Girl of Steel still believes that James, as well as his sidekick Winn (Jeremy Jordan), shouldn’t be risking their lives to save others.

“I don’t want to be the guy in the office anymore,” James tells Kara in the episode.

“Yeah, I don’t wanna be stuck in front of a computer,” Winn chimes in.

“You know, you two are heroes to me way before all of these. I know you want to help people but this is not the way to do it,” Kara tells the pair. “I won’t stop you. But as long as you are putting yourself in danger I can’t support it.”

Despite Kara’s disapproval, the two are adamant to continue their nighttime gig, so it’s very likely that fans are still going to see the dynamic duo on the streets of National City in future episodes.
