‘Supernatural’ Season 12 Spoilers: CW Series Casts British Men Of Letters Member Mr. Ketch
“Supernatural” Season 12 has cast its villain.
David Haydn-Jones, who has appeared in TV shows such as “Modern Family” and “Mistresses” and in last year’s Hallmark movie “My Christmas Dream,” has been cast in the role of the mysterious Mr. Ketch on The CW series, Deadline reports.
Mr. Ketch was teased in the Season 12 mid-season finale as an associate of the British Men of Letters. He is a part of a secret organization that hunts monsters in the U.K. In Season 12, the British arm of the Men of Letters sought to expand internationally, leading them to United States and into the lives of American hunters Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki).
Mr. Ketch is described as suave, handsome and competent in his work. Oh, and he is also a sociopath.
Haydn-Jones’s villainous character will first make his appearances in “Supernatural” Season 12, episode 9. The episode, titled “First Blood,” also serves as the season’s midseason premiere. Airing on Thursday, Jan. 26, this episode will see the hunters imprisoned in a secret, undisclosed location by the government. The boys were found guilty of trying to assassinate the President of the United States who, at that time, was possessed by the devil/Lucifer.
Dean and Sam have been behind bars for six weeks when The CW show returns. A worried Castiel (Misha Collins) enlists the help of Mary (Samantha Smith), Dean and Sam’s mother, in order to find and rescue them. Of course, during their rescue mission, they come across some enemies.
Judging by the fact that Mr. Ketch’s role has been cast, this episode will also see the British Men of Letters getting involved in Mary and Castiel’s rescue mission.
It remains to be seen how the handsome hunters, Mary and Castiel deal with Lucifer’s child. Before the devil escaped, he made sure to impregnate a member of the President’s staff.
“Supernatural” Season 12 returns Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
