“Supernatural” Season 15 will be bringing back the popular old character Kevin Tran (Osric Chau). The character was brought back once before as someone from an alternate universe, but this time around he may be coming back from Heaven.

Stills from the second episode of the final season that have been released online tease the return of Kevin, Entertainment Weekly reported. Kevin was first introduced in Season 7 as a prophet and he was one of the most popular characters on the show.

Kevin was killed by Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett), and it was in Season 11 that God sent him to heaven. He has not returned to the show since that time.

Chau got to briefly reprise his role in Season 13, but this was another character with the same name from the alternate universe. The rift that led to the character crossing into this universe has since been closed, which means there is little chance of him coming back in “Supernatural” Season 15.

That means Kevin who went to heaven may return one last time to fight the good fight. According to the plot of episode 2, “Sam, Dean and Castiel call on Rowena to help keep the evil souls at bay and get an unexpected assist from Ketch.”

With Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) going up against zombies in the final season, they will need help from multiple people. This gives the show the opportunity to bring back fan favorite characters and introduce new ones to end the show with a bang.

One of the new characters who will be helping Dean is Leo Webb, played by Christian Kane, Entertainment Weekly reported. The character has been described as a former hunter who is a friend of Dean.

Season 14 ended with Chuck (Rob Benedict) turning against the Winchesters for disobeying him, TV Guide reported. The show will now focus on the ensuing chaos.

“Supernatural” Season 15 will air on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
