‘Supernatural’ Star Jensen Ackles Gives His Twins Dean Winchester-Approved Names
“Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles is a father once again! On Saturday night, he announced on social media that his wife Danneel Harris Ackles had given birth to twins. The actor revealed the names of the babies in his post.
“Danneel, JJ and I are excited to announce the birth of our twins Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes,” he wrote on Instagram. Check out the post, complete with Dr. Seuss characters Thing 1 and Thing 2, below.
They certainly seem like Dean Winchester-approved names. Ackles’ character on “Supernatural” loves Led Zeppelin, and the demon hunter would probably be cool with naming a kid after a weapon too. Ackles and the “One Tree Hill” alum probably didn’t think about Dean’s opinions when they chose the names, but the actors haven’t revealed why they chose the unique monikers yet.
The twins, born in the early morning on Dec. 2, join big sister J.J. (short for Justice Jay), who was born in May 2013.
Jensen and Danneel announced that they were expecting twins, a girl and a boy, in August. “Doublemint here we come!” Harris Ackles wrote along with a photo of cowboy boots for the whole family. The actors married in 2010.
Zeppelin and Arrow are the newest additions to the “Supernatural” family, but they won’t be for long. Jared Padalecki, who plays Dean’s brother Sam, is also expecting his third child with wife Genevieve. He announced on “Live with Kelly” that he would welcome baby number three in March. The couple is already parents to Thomas Colton, 4, and Austin Shepherd, 2.
