Surface Phone Leaked Photo Reveals Its Key Specs And Features
A leaked image of Microsoft Surface Phone has surfaced after the rumor mill revealed the purported specs of its three variants. Rumors are rife that the Redmond giant will be unleashed by early 2017.
The Surface Phone leaked photo has been revealed by Nokibar, a user of Baidu social networking site. He is the same leakster who had revealed photos of the cancelled Lumia 850 smartphone. He had also accurately revealed the leaked renders of Lumia 650 before its release, Neowin reported.
The leaked render of Microsoft Surface Phone shows the handset placed in a Touch Cover keyboard. The smiley that is present on the screen of the device indicates that it supports Windows Hello feature of Window 10 Mobile OS. Hence, it seems that the smartphone will be equipped with an iris scanner.
The upper side of the smartphone sports a 3.5 mm audio jack whereas its bottom features a USB Type-C port. The leakster has also claimed that the smartphone will be housing a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and it will be powered by the next generation Snapdragon 830 processor.
The rear is rumored to sport a 20-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics lens equipped with triple LED flash. Since the leaked photo has April 25 mentioned on it its screen, rumors suggest that the smartphone may get announced on the same date in 2017.
Recent speculations have indicated that Microsoft will be end the production of Lumia series handsets in the near future and it will begin selling smartphones under the Surface brand name. The three rumored editions of Microsoft Surface Phone are expected to be aimed towards three kinds of users such as consumer, prosumer and enterprise.
The base model is expected to include 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage. The next model is pegged to arrive with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The advanced version of Surface Phone is expected to come with 8 GB of RAM and 500 GB of onboard storage. All the variants will be powered by Snapdragon 830 chipset.
