Surface Pro 4 Tablet Prices Drop By $200, Surface Pro 5 Speculation Grows
Surface Pro 4 sales keep coming, and, as usual, the Microsoft Store is the one dishing out the biggest price drops. If the Surface Pro 5 isn’t your thing, you can save up to $200 on a tablet right now. In fact, Surface Book savings are available too.
In contrast to some other recent sales promotions, the current one focuses almost entirely on mid or high-tier variations. In other words, if you’re looking for an i5 or i7 model, then the time to buy is now. The full list of deals is below.
- i5/4GB RAM/128GB SSD: $799 [Usually $999]
- i7/8GB RAM/256GB SSD: $1,299 [Usually $1,499]
- i7/16GB RAM/256GB SSD: $1,499 [Usually $1,699]
In addition to that, we also thought it wise to report savings related to the Surface Book.
- i5/8GB RAM/128GB SSD: $1,299 [Usually $1499]
- i5/8GB RAM/256GB SSD [GPU]: $1,699 [Usually $1,499]
All sales are scheduled to last until March 25. They also stack on top of a free $25 Windows Store gift code promotion that ends March 31.
During a time in which many tech enthusiasts are anticipating a Surface Pro 5 announcement fairly soon, Microsoft seems content to continue shuffling its current Surface Pro 4 offering. The m3 tablet no longer comes with a Surface Pen, and there’s now an ultra-tier Surface Book on sale for $2,999.
With regard to the future, all eyes are pointed toward the Windows 10 Creators Update launch set for this spring. The software formally known as Redstone 2 was purposefully delayed to support “a new line of Surface devices.” Microsoft released both the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 a few months after major software revisions. As sales like these continue to happen, it appears that milestone may be coming soon.
