'S.W.A.T.' Episode 8 Spoilers: Peter Facinelli To Appear As Police Commission President

Hondo (Shemar Moore) and his team will be forced to work in the upcoming holiday.

The next episode of CBS' "S.W.A.T." episode 8, titled "Miracle" is expected to be action-packed as Hondo and his team are forced to work on their Christmas vacations to chase a drug cartel who is out for blood after their cache of gold bars were stolen. The production shared a preview clip on Twitter and wrote: "there's no such thing as a holiday break for the #SWAT crew."

In the promo teaser, Hondo and his team are in high-spirits and are giving each other high-fives as they left their department for the holidays. Everyone expects to spend Christmas with their families at home.

However, one scene features a man being shot. Then, Hondo and Jessica (Stephanie Sigman) who are in the midst of what seems to be a party excuse themselves because something is in trouble. The scene cuts with Annie (Bre Blair) telling her husband, Deacon, who is preparing to leave for an urgent mission: "I thought the team was off for the holiday."

In addition, "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli will be joining in the said episode as Michael Plank, the president of the Police Commission. Jessica, Commanding Officer of the LAPD Metropolitan Division will get his attention after she approaches him with her ideas how to improve the division of S.W.A.T.

According to Cartermatt, adding Facinelli on board is a "nice touch." It is interesting how the "Loosies" star will give life to his character. The publication added that Facinelli's role is something that is likely to be seen multiple times before the season ends.

As for the chances of Facinelli showing up in more than one episode, the publication is positive as the storyline could go a long way considering the hierarchy of the LAPD. This is also possible given the version of the department that S.W.A.T. brings on to the table.

"S.W.A.T." episode 8 will be the series 's winter finale. After the episode on Thursday, "S.W.A.T." will return on CBS with episode 9 titled "Blindspots," on Jan. 4, 2008.

Moore campaigned for the upcoming episode on Twitter. The "Criminal Minds" alum teased that the winter finale episode will "be FIRE" and that "You don't want to miss it."
