Sydney Chase seemingly reacted to the news of Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian's breakup by sharing a cryptic message on social media.
The Instagram model — who claimed to have had a fling with the Boston Celtics player — reposted a message from Justin LaBoy on Instagram, according to Page Six, after multiple outlets reported that Kardashian and Thompson have called it quits again less than a year after reconciling.
"I can't even get mad no more," read the message, followed by a crying laughing emoji. "Life funny at this point."
Chase's cryptic post came after she claimed that she and Thompson hooked up in the fall after he had rekindled his romance with the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star.
The NBA star has since denied Chase's claims and threatened her with legal action by sending her a cease-and-desist order in May, Page Six previously reported. The letter alleged that Chase made "numerous false and defamatory statements" about Thompson on the "No Jumper" podcast, where she had talked about their alleged affair.
"It is obvious that you are a liar," the letter to Chase read. "Your claim that you had a relationship with Mr. Thompson is pure fiction. The purported texts you claim exist are equally fictitious, and they put words in my client’s mouth that he never said that are contrary to his thoughts and feelings. This is defamatory."
Thompson also challenged Chase to provide any texts she allegedly received from him for review, claiming they could be "manipulated and faked."
"We are confident that any texts you may claim to have would not withstand such scrutiny. The truth would be revealed – that your story about my client is fabricated," the letter continued. "Of course, we doubt you will allow us to review any purported texts since our examination of the texts would confirm that they are a shame."
Chase, however, doubled down on her claims. After receiving Thompson’s cease-and-desist letter, she wrote on her Instagram Story, "I’m moving forward with the truth & am choosing not to comply. I will not be called a liar."
Meanwhile, Thompson and Kardashian are still amicable and will continue to co-parent their 3-year-old daughter True, an unnamed source told Page Six of their split. The pair reportedly broke up "a few weeks ago."
"Tristan was at a birthday party in Bel Air on Friday night and was acting very single throughout the evening," an anonymous tipster told Entertainment Tonight Monday. "The Kardashians were invited to the party but did not attend. Tristan and Khloe will continue to co-parent True together in a healthy, loving way."
