A 26-year-old man has been arrested after he intentionally ran over his own father with an SUV, according to police.

Luis Martinez has been booked for murder of his 62-year-old father Francisco Martinez.

The incident occurred Tuesday around 8:15 pm in Sylmar. What started as a fight between adults at the home over a lost dog and broken window led Luis Martinez, in a wheelchair, to jump into a SUV and run over his father.

One of Luis' brothers was also struck by the car, and he remains in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.

On Wednesday, Luis' brother Jesus Martinez told reporters He ain't my brother no more. There's something wrong with him.
