‘SYTYCD’ 14 Winner Lex Ishimoto Pays Tribute To Girlfriend Taylor Sieve
Lex Ishimoto and Taylor Sieve’s journey in “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 may be over, but the couple’s life is just starting.
On his Instagram account, Ishimoto paid tribute to his girlfriend, Sieve, after she stuck by his side throughout their stint in the hit Fox reality TV competition. On his Instagram account, Ishimoto uploaded a photo of himself with Sieve. In his caption, he called Sieve his “everything.” The contemporary dancer also expressed how proud he is for everything that Sieve accomplished.
Ishimoto and Sieve confirmed their relationship on live television after one of their performances. After their routine, the couple kissed each other on the lips. A week later, another choreographer asked the two if they are in a relationship, and they looked at each other with huge smiles on their faces.
Unfortunately, it was only Ishimoto who brought home the $250,000 grand prize after winning “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14. Sieve placed third in the competition.
Following his win, the Japanese native spoke with The OC Register about his plans post-“So You Think You Can Dance,” as well as the upcoming live tour. “I don’t like thinking about the future too much. I’m trying to stay present and immerse myself in the moment,” he said.
Ishimoto, who is trained in various genres of dance, admitted that he wants to do everything. He previously starred in Sia’s music video, performed on Broadway and participated in an international ballet competition. “I want to do it all. I’ve never seen a dancer do it all. I think of this show as a stepping stone. A new bridge that I have made,” he said.
The professional dancer also said that he wants to use his win as a platform to inspire other people. “I feel like I wasn’t born to be a dancer and it took a lot of hard work and a certain attitude and I feel like it’s telling other people that it is possible. It sounds really corny, but never give up, you know? Stay legendary,” he said.
Ishimoto’s runner-up, Koine Iwasaki, as well as fourth runner-up Kiki Nyemchek will be joining him and Sieve and the rest of the top 10 dancers in the upcoming tour.
