The third major lord in “Tales of Arise” can be difficult to defeat for first-time players. Her ability to cast spells while the party is occupied with her pet zeugle can spell disaster for the party, but much like the other bosses, it’s nothing a little strategy and preparation can’t fix.

There are a few more nuances to this boss fight compared to the first two lords, and players should always try to exploit them as much as possible to make this boss fight easier. Here’s a rapid-fire guide on how to beat Lord Almeidrea in “Tales of Arise.”

Lord Almeidrea Boss Fight

In this battle, players will have to fight both Almeidrea and her zeugle Mesmald. Fortunately, only Mesmald needs to be defeated to finish this fight, but his large HP pool may complicate this.

Mesmald can cast spells and hit players with melee attacks, all of which can be easily dodged or blocked. It’s important to note that players can dodge toward on-field spell effects like tornados to easily trigger Counter Edge attacks. This will teleport players directly to Mesmald while dealing a bit of extra damage.

Focus on attacking Mesmald’s weak spots so he eventually gets stunned. Skills that increase a character’s damage against weak spots are great in this boss fight.

Keep moving and try not to have everyone in the party stack on top of each other as Mesmald’s AoE spells can hit everybody at once.

Party Composition

Alphen is a great pick for this boss fight since he can stagger and interrupt Mesmald at-will with his Boost Attack. Any two caster characters are also recommended here as they can liberally use their powerful spells without worrying much about casting times. Lastly, Law is great in this fight due to his effectiveness against weak spots and his Boost Attack’s burst damage.

Rinwell will play a very important role in this fight regardless of whether or not she’s on the field. She can interrupt and steal Almeidrea’s spells, preventing the boss from casting anything that might interrupt the party’s fight against Mesmald. She can also counter Almeidrea’s first cast of Chaotic Disaster, a move that can knock the entire party out if left unattended.

Try to cancel Mesmald’s attacks with Alphen as much as possible and save Rinwell’s Boost Attack for Almeidrea.
