Taryn Manning, Anne Cline Call Off Their Engagement 2 Months After Surprise Proposal

Taryn Manning and Anne Cline have called off their engagement. Their split comes two months after Cline popped the question to Manning during one of her gigs at a bar in Florida.

The “Orange is the New Black” actress decided to end her relationship with Cline in August, and has since moved on with a new man, a source told US Weekly. The source said Manning was not yet ready to get engaged, but was forced to say yes to Cline’s proposal because she was put on the spot.

The insider explained Manning felt she could not turn down the proposal in front of a bar full of patrons with cameras watching her. That’s partly why she never shared a formal announcement or social media post about their relationship. The insider also claimed, after being engaged for two months, she realized her romance with Cline was just “not the right relationship for her.”

Cline’s proposal happened during her band’s performance at a bar in Panama City in Florida. A video of the proposal shows Cline jumping offstage, getting down on one knee and presenting a ring to a shocked Manning, who then leaned down to hear what she said, before responding with a “Yes!” and a kiss.

At the time, a representative for Manning told TMZ the women “are thrilled” about getting engaged. Manning also nodded her head, saying, “It was the easiest YES I ever had;” said the actress.

Around the time of their split, the “Karen” star took to Instagram to share a photo of herself hugging her dog, which she captioned, “I’m sticking with animals from here on out.:” She then added the hashtags #1love, #humansucksometimes, and #freewill.

Over the weekend, she once again took to Instagram to share a motivational quote about meeting a special person. “And then suddenly, you meet that special person that makes you forget about yesterday and dream about tomorrow,” the quote read. “You are soovin #mywholelife,” she captioned the post before adding a red heart emoji.

Manning and Cline have kept their romance largely out of the spotlight. Neither of them has commented on their alleged split.
