Taylor Swift and Harry Styles End Two-Month Relationship on Caribbean Vacation

Another relationship bites the dust for country star Taylor Swift.

Swift and One Direction band member Harry Styles have reportedly split up after two months, following an argument while on a New Year's vacation, over their hectic, conflicting, schedules.

"They are both really busy and never in one place for long. Harry's really upset about the split and is really sensitive about it," an insider told Life & Style. "Loads of his friends told him to be careful and that it was never going to last, and he feels a little foolish now that it's fallen apart so quickly."

A source confirmed to the New York Post's Page Six on Monday that the pair have ended their relationship; however, there has not yet been word from Swift, Styles, or their reps.

The former couple spent New Year’s Eve together in New York City's Times Square, and they later shared a midnight kiss; they also spent the first days of 2013 in Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands.

They were spotted with friends at the CocoMaya restaurant on Jan. 1, but days later, Swift reportedly left the island following an argument with Styles.

“They were on holiday and had an almighty row,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Yes I can confirm they have split up.”

The Daily Mail also reported that Swift’s father is said to be relieved at the breakup, believing that the relationship was moving too fast.

Swift was spotted alone on Jan. 4 on a boat en route to the airport. Styles stayed behind and spent one more day partying on British mogul Richard Branson’s Private Island, before heading back to his native UK on Jan. 5, a source told Business Insider.

Both have been relatively quiet since the breakup, save for Swift’s ominous tweet on Jan. 5, “...'til you put me down.”

Rumors of their relationship began in November, when Swift performed on “The X Factor,” and Styles watched in the audience, sitting next to Swift’s mother.

The pair were seen together for the first time on Dec. 2, when they spent the day in Central Park; they have been seen out and about numerous times since then, including on a skiing trip with Justin Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, in Utah the week before Christmas.
